July 4th is coming up this weekend so we know you’re looking for awesome recipes that will satisfy your taste buds without sacrificing all of your hard work at the gym.
Here are some of our favorite drinks, desserts, and dishes to help you celebrate the up-coming holiday!
These recipes are GetFitNow approved so with them, you’ll still be eating clean and healthy while enjoying the great taste of the foods you love!
– 3 cups of chopped spinach
– 1 tbsp of cilantro (chopped)
– 1 tbsp of plain Greek yogurt
– One dollop of guacamole
– 5 ounces of lean ground turkey breast
– 1 tomato (chopped)
– ¼ cup of black beans
– Cracked pepper and Cayenne to taste
Cook the ground turkey under medium heat until brown. Add the tomatoes and cilantro to the turkey and season with the cayenne and cracked pepper. Mix the rest of the ingredients together, topping it off with the yogurt and guacamole.
1 large zucchini
Preheat the oven to 250 degrees. Slice the zucchini into very thin slices using a mandolin and press them with a paper towel to draw out excess liquid. After, line up the zucchini slices on a baking sheet without overlapping. Brush coconut oil over each zucchini slice. Lightly sprinkle salt over the baking sheet. Do not over-season them. Bake for about 2 hours or until they start to brown and become.
Watermelon Chia Ice Pops
3 cups of watermelon
1 tsp of chia seeds
Blend the watermelon in a blender and then pour into separate ice cube trays. Sprinkle chia seeds over the mixture and mix with a toothpick. Don’t blend the chia seeds in with the watermelon because most of them will just stick to your blender. Cut up plastic straws to place in each cube before freezing, popsicle sticks might be too heavy to stand up.
Yogurt Chia Parfait
Yogurt Parfaits are great to enjoy for parties because they are super quick to make. The chia seeds are a great source of protein and fiber so you’ll get to enjoy the health benefits as well as its yummy texture.
